Summary:
   
   The Client can now operate with regional setting conventions 
   for decimal and thousand delimiters that differ from Server
   settings.  The Client will now properly scale, graph, display
   and interpret values regardless of the PC regional settings.
   OEM and OIL ActiveX servers now display regional font sizes.
   Redundant Unicode to Ansi conversions have been eliminated. 
   EDL Compiler performance has been improved by 400+ percent. 
   IO Flow control is now automatically initiated by the client.
   Microsoft TweakUI can be used to allow client to take focus.

     SYMPTOMS:  Client does not operate with regional locale settings 
       that are different than the Server.
     IMPACT:  Client forces users to switch to regional locale 
       settings of period character for decimal, potentially impacting 
       other PC applications.
     CONDITIONS:  NONE
     LIKELIHOOD:  Certain
     WORKAROUNDS:  RUNAS.exe ASAP with special user ID. This requires 
       Windows 2000 or later, and requires user to log on each time.
     FIX-INFO:     Regional locale is now analyzed. If the
                   decimal or thousand delimiter is different than
                   the server, a new dialog box provides the user 
                   with these options:

                   - Change PC Regional Settings to 
                     be the same as server
                   - Keep Current Regional Settings
                   - Keep Current Regional Settings 
                     and NEVER show this dialog again

     SYMPTOMS:  Client does not scale or graph values correctly 
       when workstation locale setting for decimal or thousand 
       delimiter is different than the server.
     CONDITIONS:  NONE

     SYMPTOMS:  Poor client EDL compiler performance.
     IMPACT:  Large EDL files take 1-2 minutes to analyze.
     CONDITIONS: Microsoft Windows performs Unicode to ANSI 
       conversion as standard DLL call convention.
     LIKELIHOOD:   Certain
     FIX-INFO:  Redundant conversions are eliminated when 
       compiling EDL Entity and Attribute statements. This 
       improves EDL compiler performance by at least 400 percent.

     SYMPTOMS:  "Error 1109 CI cache is full. CI will be stopped"
       was returned by the SeeView Server Gateway, and the client
       server session failed if IOCONTROL was set to zero in the
       $System.System.ASAPCONF file.
     CONDITIONS:  NONE
     LIKELIHOOD:  Certain
     WORKAROUNDS:  Click the "Advanced" button on the SSG tab of the 
       ASAP Client properties window, and select the "Enable I/O 
       Control" radio button (most users are unaware of the Client 
       flow control option).
     FIX-INFO:  The Client I/O control default behavior is now 
       to automatically Enable Flow Control.  To view or change 
       this option from the main ASAP Client browse window:
       - Select VIEW... OPTIONS... 
       - Click the SSG Tab.
       - Click the "Advanced" button.
       - Select an I/O Control option.

Known Problems Remaining:

  1. SYMPTOMS:  Certain versions of Microsoft Windows enable
       registry setting HKCU "ForegroundLockTimemout" which 
       prevents applications from taking focus.  Whether this 
       is a problem is subject to user interpretation.
     IMPACT:  OEM or Client do not receive focus when objects 
       are selected in OIL or OEM.
     CONDITIONS:  Windows registry control panel property
       ForegroundLockTimeout has non zero value.
     LIKELIHOOD:  Windows 2000, ME, XP default behavior.
     WORKAROUNDS:  If you consider this a problem, it can be 
       overcome by downloading and installing the Microsoft 
       TweakUI control panel from:
